ANN INC. Donation Helps Cancer Patient in an Unlikely Way

The Cancer Resource Center of the Desert, in El Centro, CA, aims to educate, guide, support, and empower cancer patients throughout their cancer journey. We provide a guiding hand and compassionate heart to these patients and their families through the services that we provide.

One of our services is providing clothing to our patients that is designed specifically to aid in their treatment. We received a donation of busts from ANN INC. and it was exactly what we needed to display the clothing. The clothing pictured is for patients who are receiving their chemotherapy via a portable pump and is essential for those who are undergoing a mastectomy, breast radiation therapy, or ostomy surgery.

The busts we received made it easy to display these garments and other items, making it easier for the patients to understand how the garment will support them during their time of need. This donation also made it easier for us to transport the garments to various locations as well as easily demonstrate how they are constructed for their specific uses. Having the garments on the bust helps the patients and their families to visualize and understand how the garment would support their specific needs.

One of our patients who had just had colostomy surgery was having difficulty with her ostomy appliance. When we first showed her the ostomy garment, she did not quite understand how it worked. Demonstrating its use on the bust made all the difference to her. She understood that the appliance would fit into the pocket on the inside of the garment and would support the appliance as it filled. She was so grateful for the demonstration! This could not have been possible without the ANN INC. busts and Good360. Thank you for your donation!
