DONATION: TUESDAY MORNING HOME DECOR, TOYS, AND CRAFTS
LIVES IMPACTED: 15
Los Angeles County Community Development Foundation’s (LACDF) mission is to end generational poverty in low-income housing throughout the County of Los Angeles, California. With the generous donations provided by Tuesday Morning, we have had the opportunity to positively influence residents at public housing sites in our area. We focus on providing participants with resources necessary to lead them into self-sufficiency. The household items received from Tuesday Morning are targeted to those families who were formerly homeless and were recently housed under the public housing program.
Many of the families moved into their homes with no furniture or necessary household items. This made the transition much more difficult. Recently, the distribution of Tuesday Morning donations helped numerous families receive home decor items, craft supplies for youth and adults, and toys for the kids. The donations help bring a sense of support and service to the community. It allows us here at LACDF to continue providing essential supplies to those in need. These donations go directly to the neediest homeless families with children. They have expressed their appreciation and the positive impact the supplies have made on their families. Their cabinets are now stocked with needed goods.
LACDF conducts their utmost effort to provide donation items that would have long lasting effects on our community members. The donations give families a sense of comfort. The joy and thankfulness we see when they receive the donations help reaffirm why we are here to help those in need. In our most recent donation distribution, a family with eight kids of varying ages greatly appreciated the items received. The children were full of joy having the opportunity to receive new items and make their homes a little more welcoming. Access to these supplies highlights LACDF commitment to positively impact families and provide them with resources that influence their future choices. Thank you Tuesday Morning and Good360.
