04 Oct Help Us Win $2 Million for Good360 Australia
For this guest blog post, we welcome Alison Covington, founder and managing director of Good360 Australia.
The United States knows how amazing Good360 is because it’s been working with generous companies to donate products and fulfill the needs of nonprofits for 30 years.
This year we want to expand Good360 to Australia. Great things are happening over here in Australia in preparation. We have retailers ready to start sending product. We have great corporate partners who are assisting with financial, legal and public relations logistics. We have IT, warehousing, storage, distribution and transport partners on board. We’ve got it all going on; all we need is the money to make the next step.
Eftpos, Australia’s most widely used electronic payments system, is currently holding a contest which asks Australians to help choose which worthy causes should receive a share of up to $2 million that will be donated to charity in their Giveback Program this Christmas. Good360 Australia is eligible in the Disadvantaged Kids, Families and Communities category.
Eftpos Managing Director Bruce Mansfield said, “With so many worthy causes and a record number of charity submissions for the 2013 Eftpos Giveback Program, the organisation is seeking input from the community about where the money could be put to best use this year.”
How awesome are they? This is the third year this campaign has run, and the amount has been doubled from $1 million to $2 million for the first time. In Australia, Eftpos is leading the way in corporate donations and setting an incredible example for others in the sector.
We need Eftpos Australia to understand that by giving money to Good360 Australia they are not only helping one charity, or just the 140 nominees, but potentially every single charity and not-for-profit organisation in Australia. We know we are preaching to the converted here—you have been enjoying the benefits of Good360 for many years.
You can help us by visiting our Facebook page and liking and commenting on our posts regarding the campaign to show Eftpos that you think Australia needs what you already have.
