24 Jun Expanding Product Philanthropy Down Under
By Cindy Hallberlin
Earlier this month, I went on a whirlwind trip Down Under to assist in the launch of our new partner: Good360 Australia. Arriving in Sydney after 24 hours of travel via Los Angeles, I spent the next five days with Alison Covington, the untiring director of our latest effort to spread product philanthropy worldwide, sharing the story of Good360 and helping her inform the business sector, the nonprofit community and the Australian public about our win-win giving model.
Alison and I spent the first three days in Sydney, hosting over 70 funders, business leaders and nonprofit administrators at the America Club and sharing our story with Australian press. We appeared on ABC1’s popular nightly news show, the 7.30 Report and were interviewed by Rebecca Levingston on her ABC North Queensland talk show.
After Sydney, we flew down to Melbourne and spent two more days sharing our mission with leaders there. The response to the Good360 story was overwhelmingly positive as Australia embarks on a new philanthropic journey connecting companies that have vital products with communities in need.
