WEST COAST WILDFIRES

Recurring efforts needed

Over 4,600 firefighters continue to battle 22 wildfires in California. In November, firefighters responded to 37 new wildfires, all of which were contained.  The East Troublesome Fire in Colorado is now the second-largest fire in state history at 192,560 acres. In mid-October the following states experienced wildfires: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Our goal is to provide critical goods to the right people at the right time during all phases of a disaster. The Good360 disaster team is working hard to mitigate waste and inefficiencies while assisting victims of these wildfires to return to a normal life. Victims impacted include the region’s seasonal agricultural workers, who face loss of jobs and housing due to the blazes. We can amplify every dollar contributed by a minimum factor of 10, meaning that for every $10 donated, we can distribute at least $100 in needed goods.
