Western Wildfires - Good360

Western Fires Setting Records In 2021

Extremely Dry Conditions Leading to Explosive Fires

With many western states experiencing moderate to exceptional drought, the 2021 wildfire season is already off to a blazing start with 2.7 million acres burned throughout the west. There are currently 105 active fires across 12 states. Only five of which are contained.

The Dixie Fire in northern California has merged with a smaller fire and is now the largest burning in the state, threatening thousands of homes and other structures in Butte and Plumas Counties. The blaze has incinerated 190,000 acres and is about 21% contained.

Our goal is to provide critical goods to the right people at the right time during all phases of a disaster. The Good360 disaster team is working hard to mitigate waste and inefficiencies while assisting victims of these wildfires to return to a normal life. We can amplify every dollar contributed by a minimum factor of 10, meaning that for every $10 donated, we can distribute at least $100 in needed goods.

Current Needs:

  • Water
  • Hydration beverages
  • Shelf-stable snacks
  • Tyvek suits (all sizes)
  • Diapers
  • Pet food
  • N95 masks
  • Transportation for donations
