Hurricane Fiona - Good360

HURRICANE FIONA

Although the media spotlight has faded, Hurricane Fiona recovery efforts continue across the island of Puerto Rico. More than one million households have applied for FEMA assistance and power remains intermittent in many communities.  Without support, tens of thousands of individuals and families will not have their basic needs met due to this disaster.

Recovery efforts are focused on life-sustaining measures for medically fragile survivors/the elderly and on cleanup and debris removal. As it stands, this process is expected to take months in more rural areas of the island. With each day that passes, the likelihood of long-term health impairment from living in unsanitary conditions increases.

How Good360 is Helping:

Good360 is working in collaboration with Puerto Rico Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and its member agencies to identify and ground-truth the most critical product need gaps from nonprofits working in impacted communities. Once product is donated, Good360 is working with our humanitarian supply chain partner, LIFT Nonprofit Logistics, to consolidate and ship goods from the continental US to Puerto Rico, at which point Puerto Rico VOAD is coordinating distribution to its vetted members.

To date, Good360 has committed more than $3 million worth of donated product to help support Fiona recovery efforts. This work will take years to complete, and we ask for your support in staying with our partners and friends in Puerto Rico as they continue to recover from Hurricane Fiona.

WHAT WE DO

We ensure that the right goods are delivered to the right people at the right time – throughout all stages of disaster recovery.

We’ll be there in the early days with personal care items, supplies for shelters, and cleaning/mucking out products and we’ll be there long after the media spotlight has dimmed months and years later with furniture, mattresses, home goods and other necessities to help impacted communities through the recovery journey.

Our mission is to provide critically needed goods throughout all stages of a disaster. This means we’ll continue to provide support long after media interest fades.
