Washington Post Recognizes Good360 as a 2021 Top Workplace

The Washington Post’s list of Top Workplaces in 2021 is out and we’re thrilled to say that Good360 is among the 200 organizations that have been honored.

The winning organizations received the highest ratings from their employees in surveys conducted by the Post and Energage, a Philadelphia-based workplace intelligence company.

More than 3,500 companies in the greater Washington, D.C., area were invited to participate and 413 were surveyed. To arrive at the final ranking, more than 65,500 workers were asked about topics ranging from employee development to innovation.

Honorees in the 8th annual list include organizations working in real estate, tech, law, government contracting, consulting and the nonprofit sector. Some of the most recognizable names include the AARP, Carfax, Panda Restaurant Group, Fannie Mae and Capital One.

The list was segmented by large, medium and small companies. In the small organizations category, Good360 found itself in excellent company, including women-owned, veteran-led and employee-owned firms.

Here’s what the Post award citation had to say about us: “Good360 in Alexandria, Va., is a nonprofit organization that focuses on in-kind product distribution. It partners with more than 400 socially responsible companies to collect goods — including clothing and personal care items — and distribute them to people who need them through its network of 90,000 nonprofit groups.”

The Post included this comment from an employee who participated in the survey: “It’s the right mix of challenging and rewarding. We’re trying to solve big problems but we also get to see the tremendous impact we make in communities around the country.”

This award recognizes the tremendous work and dedication of every employee at Good360. It’s especially gratifying to receive this honor on the heels of the pandemic when our organization stepped up to the challenge. Last year, we nearly doubled our distribution of donated products from the previous year to meet the unprecedented need from COVID-impacted communities. (Learn more about our impact in 2020 here.)

“When faced with the unprecedented need brought about by the pandemic, we mobilized to help get essential goods into the hands of more than 7.5 million people who needed assistance,” said Matt Connelly, CEO of Good360. “This recognition is a testament to the extraordinary team of professionals at Good360 who do outstanding work every day.”

We really felt that we had met the moment when our network of nonprofits and their communities needed our support the most. This honor from The Washington Post recognizes the impact that we’re making all around the country as well as how we nurture employees internally to do their best work.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
