2021 Multi-State Tornadoes - Good360

TORNADOES IMPACT SIX STATES

Over 200 miles of devestation in Kentucky alone

On December 10th through early morning December 11th, tornadoes ripped through multiple states leaving devastation and over 80 deaths in Kentucky alone. The cities of Mayfield and Benton, KY were most significantly impacted with homes, businesses, and buildings completely destroyed.  This strong storm system moved across the central and southern United States with the National Weather Service (NWS) confirming 61 tornadoes and several long track tornadoes (including one over 200 miles long). The storms travelled from Arkansas towards the Great Lakes. Extensive damage occurred in Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky, but eight states reported tornadoes and the NWS received nearly 400 reports of large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.

Since December 11th, Good360 and our nonprofit partners have been engaged and active as we work to respond to the needs of each community. Kentucky VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) has daily calls for nonprofit partners to share needs on the ground.  The biggest issue has been too many unsolicited product donations. It is critical for nonprofits, companies, and individuals to first consider donating cash and ONLY sending products that have been requested by a trusted partner on the ground with the ability to receive, store and distribute those items.

Global Empowerment Mission, has been on the ground in Mayfield, KY since Day 1, working to provide needed product to those impacted by these devastating storms. Many of those products were donated by Good360 and our corporate partners.  In Martin, TN, United Rescue Alliance has set up a warehouse and distribution to help with survivors in surrounding areas. We are working to identify nonprofit partners to work with in Illinois

If you would like to help during this tremendous time of need, we encourage you to offer a cash donation by clicking the button below. WHAT WE DO

We ensure that the right goods are delivered to the right people at the right time – throughout all stages of disaster recovery.

We’ll be there in the early days with personal care items, supplies for shelters, and cleaning/mucking out products and we’ll be there long after the media spotlight has dimmed months and years later with furniture, mattresses, home goods and other necessities to help impacted communities through the recovery journey.

Our mission is to provide critically needed goods throughout all stages of a disaster. This means we’ll continue to provide support long after media interest fades.
